SouthWest Water Company Recognizes Engineering Students

Four Outstanding High School Graduates from North Shelby County Earn Scholarships

As a part of its continuing commitment to the communities it serves, SouthWest Water Company has announced cash scholarships for four graduating high school seniors in Shelby County who plan to make engineering their main course of study in college.

In presenting the scholarships, Managing Director Craig Sorensen said SouthWest Water Company feels a need to help upcoming leaders in this important field.

“As a company that is charged with protecting the world’s most valuable resource, we feel responsible for encouraging the next generation of leaders in our field,” Mr. Sorensen said.

Mr. Sorensen said the students were selected based on excellence in the classroom and within the community. The scholarship recipients, each of whom will receive a cash award, are:

  • Kane Agan, Pelham High School
  • John Mason IV, Briarwood Christian School
  • Kalie Danielczyk, Oak Mountain High School
  • Justin Thai, Spain Park High School

SouthWest Water Company owns and operates water treatment facilities throughout Shelby County.
